Valhalla Enters Previously Uncharted Waters with New Models
Sean and Justin Healey, representing the third generation of the Viking Yachts family, and sons of current President and CEO Pat Healey, were involved in launching the Valhalla line of center consoles to begin with. The duo took the lead in showcasing their two newest models while on display together for the first time at the Palm Beach International Boat Show this past March.
“In true Viking fashion, not only did we announce one new model, but two,”
The V-28 Bay
The V-28 and V-29 are available with or without a hardtop. Without the hardtop, a half acrylic or half ProCurve glass windshield are offered. A full ProCurve glass or Costa Clear enclosure or half acrylic or glass windshield are all available with a hardtop. In addition, both models can be equipped with a factory-installed stand-on console with elevated second station, with Viking’s Palm Beach Towers providing any custom work to this optional station. Forward of the console is another 28-gallon livewell for a total of 78-gallons capable of housing every conceivable need for live baiting. The foredeck has flanking lockable rod storage for 7 to 9-foot gear. This foredeck has the largest casting deck currently on the market in this size range. This new model features lithium battery storage for today’s technical trolling motor systems along with Valhalla options, including faux teak toe rails, helm pods, and the large-boat features that set Viking and Valhalla at the pole position in the market.
The V-29 Hybrid
The V-29 is dubbed as a ‘hybrid’ because it bridges the gap between the V-28 Bay boat and the more traditional V-33 center console. While the V-29 shares the shallow draft and inshore amenities of the V-28, it comes with more freeboard and ample seating as seen in the larger Valhalla models. Power options include single or twin-engine configurations with jack plates to optimize running angles, draft, and performance.
The V-29 is designed and built to fish, but also offers cruising comfort, with an aft flip-up bench seat, numerous helm seating options, a console lounge and available forward bench seats with teak backrests. Premium upholstery, available Bentley stitching, a raised faux teak toe rail and teak or faux teak helm pods add to the yacht-level finish. Big-boat options include a Seakeeper 1, bow thruster and windlass with stainless steel claw anchor and chute.
“People have been extremely impressed with the versatility of both of the V-28 and V-29,” said Justin Healey. “They also appreciate the build quality and high level of engineering of our boats. Every inch is well thought out and designed to make your experience on the water the very best.” So if a new V-28 Bay or V-29 Hybrid piques your interest, we encourage you not to delay in contacting your Bluewater Sales Professional about ordering your shallow water battlewagon from Valhalla Boatworks.
