Innovation never rests at Valhalla Boatworks. Just last week, Valhalla celebrated their 100th delivery of both the V-33 and V-41. How they decided to celebrate? By announcing their next adventure today at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – the V-28 Bay & the V-29 Hybrid. If anything can be inferred from Viking and Valhalla’s mantra of building a better boat every day, the V-28 and V-29 will undoubtedly rise to the top.

Scheduled to debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2024, these two new models will expand the Viking and Valhalla pedigree into a smaller, nimbler class of inshore and flats boats.  Built to the same quality and customization of the current models, the two boats will easily fulfill the desires of owners demanding a fully customized flats or bay boat. As two distinctly different hulls, the Michael Peters’ designed hulls will perform to the same standards as the other stepped-bottom models.

The V-28 Bay

The V-28 will raise the bar with a more traditional bay style boat, offering single or twin engine configurations, and casting platforms forward and aft.  The aft section will house flanking 25-gallon livewells with a hidden centerline aft bench seat.  Under the center line seat is access to the lazarette and a fully finished bilge compartment.  Moving forward, you’ll find twin in-deck fish boxes plumbed overboard. Helm seating options range from the traditional leaning post to custom Release Marine seating found on the larger Viking and Valhalla fleet.

V-28

Forward of the console is another 25-gallon livewell for a total of 75-gallons of wells to house every conceivable need for live baiting. The foredeck has flanking lockable rod storage for 7-9′ gear. This foredeck will be the largest casting deck currently on the market. This boat will also feature lithium battery storage for today’s insanely technical trolling motor systems as well  as the typical Valhalla options such as faux teak toe rails, helm consoles, and large boat features that sets Viking and Valhalla in the pole position for the market. Console options include a half windshield, full pro-curve windshield, or a Costa Marine panel. A custom Palm Beach Towers top can be added, or customers can opt for the bare top for low bridge access.

The V-29 Hybrid

The V-29 will feature a slightly higher gunwale with smaller casting platform on the aft section. Power options will consist of single or twin engine configurations with jack plates to optimize performance of this technical boat. The aft section will also house a 26-gallon livewell. The helm seating configuration has the same feel and look of the V-33 with a pull-out aft facing seat and bench seating which can be built with the Release Marine package. The V-29 resembles the bow of the V-33 with optional seating and faux teak rails, a bow table, and more. Console options include a half windshield, full pro-curve windshield, or a Costa Marine panel.

Projecting a goal of 32 hulls in the first year, you can expect to see Hull #1 of the V-28 Bay Boat and the V-29 Hybrid at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2024.
