Valhalla Boatworks and Viking Yachts are committed to building a better boat every day, and a piece of that commitment is adapting to the needs of their customers and tailoring their product to meet those needs. That is why they have introduced their newest model, the Valhalla V-55 Sport. The V-55 sport will fill a gap in the luxury sport yacht market, which has grown in popularity over the past several years. This is far from the first time that the Viking Yacht family has stepped into the cruising marketing, but it is the first time that they have come to market with a high-performance, outboard powered cruiser. While very different in form and function, the Valhalla V-55 sport will take advantage of the same hull that has propelled the original V-55 to such success. From this hull, Valhalla has transformed this version of the V-55 into a completely different model focused on delivering customers wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces, a roomy interior, and all the comforts for a relaxing day on the water.
Outdoor Entertaining
The Valhalla V-55 Sport can be easily boarded on either side of the quad Mercury 600hp engines by platforms to port and starboard which give way to a tremendous cockpit. The cockpit is accentuated by a large teak table with seating forward and aft which can be covered by a telescoping shade for maximum comfort, as well as a summer kitchen forward.
The 55 Sport also features fold-down balconies to port and starboard, which lower to create an expansive waterfront platform, equipped with deployable ladders for swimming. Moving forward, there is a wide walkway to port which leads to a tremendous u-shaped lounge area with a table, along with a raised forward sunpad. To starboard, a raised walkway provides increased interior space while still allowing for easy access to lines.

A Refined Interior
A step inside of the aft enclosure brings you to the command deck, which can either be completely enclosed to escape the elements, or opened up with a retractable aft window, a sunroof, and sliding doors to port and starboard. The command deck also houses the helm, with panoramic views of the boat and state of the art electronics and controls. A staircase to port leads belowdecks to the galley and staterooms. The Valhalla V-55 Sport offers two generous staterooms, each with walkaround queen berths and private ensuite heads. The galley is in the center of it all, along with an l-shaped dinette for indoor dining.
A Proven Design
The Valhalla V-55 Sport will run on the tried-and-true Michael Peters Stepped V Ventilated Hull Tunnel which has proven to be successful across the range. Like the original V-55, the sport will be powered by quad 600hp Mercury engines for a total of 2,400 combined horsepower. The outboard power not only provides more space for amenities, but also for features like a Seakeeper for comfort and a 1,100 gallon fuel tank for extended range.
The first V-55 Sport is planned to debut during the upcoming Winter boat show season. For more information about this boat or other Valhalla Boatworks models please contact a Bluewater sales professional today.
