The Princess X95 Debuts in Palm Beach to an Enthusiastic Crowd
The Palm Beach International Boat Show in the Spring of 2021 was a truly significant milestone as it represented a return to some normalcy for the industry. Overall attendance numbers for the 2021 show were higher than anticipated and the foot traffic at Bluewater’s exclusive brand displays was tremendous. The Princess Yachts display kept busy from opening to well after closing each day, as show-goers awed at their eight-yacht display that included representation for all six of the different Princess model lines.
The night before opening day of the Palm Beach boat show, Princess Yachts hosted an exclusive gathering that included live music and entertainment. Current Princess Yachts owners and other VIP guests were treated to this invite-only event along with private tours of their new flagship yacht: the X95.
Making her global debut, The X95 was a true jaw-dropper in the display. This explorer class motoryacht maximizes interior and exterior volume and outrivals boats of comparable size in this class. Bluewater Sales Professional Chuck Meyers was fortunate to document a full walk-through aboard hull 2 of the X95 during the Palm Beach show.
“This boat offers abundant natural light with floor to ceiling windows,” Meyers explains. The interior layout features up to 5 staterooms plus crew quarters, a large galley with professional-grade appliances to please any master chef and plenty of space to lounge and entertain. “The exterior volume is just as impressive, and the deck space definitely provides the feel of a much larger boat.” Meyers concludes, “Princess really captured the space and open feel of a 100-plus-foot yacht in a 95-footer.”
Princess’ boat show display was abuzz with customers and yacht enthusiasts waiting their turn to board the X95 and take in her luxurious amenities. While the on-deck master is something not typically found on a boat under 100′, the jacuzzi with waterfall on the bow and impressive beach club with galley and salon at the swim platform, really took attendees by surprise. “Everyone was blown away with the boat,” Meyers recounts.
The X95’s “Beach Club” is an exclusive experience.
While it may sound like the X95 stole the show, activity throughout the Princess display and onboard the seven other yachts featured was just as lively. James Nobel, Vice President and Marketing Director for Princess Yachts America stated, “With an expanded display highlighted by the global premiere of the X95 and the North American premiere showing of the F45, Princess and Princess Yachts America welcomed a record number of visitors to the 2021 edition of the Palm Beach Show.”
Record foot traffic also brought record sales with many deals struck during the show and even more in process at show closing. Initial figures depicted boat show sales of over $40 million. Plus, the first 13 hulls of the impressive X95 have already been sold. We greatly enjoyed the enthusiasm for Princess Yachts’ newest models in Palm Beach, and look forward to sharing the excitement with our customers at future boat shows and new model debuts—including the upcoming X80.
