In January of 2019, Regulator Marine shocked the boating community when they announced the launch of a completely different kind of center console, which blended the performance and stability of their offshore models with the shallow-water capabilities found in bay boats. Now, one year later, Regulator has created the newest edition to their XO fleet – the 24XO. Similar to the 26XO model, the Regulator 24XO will be built to conquer inshore waters with ease but will also have the strength to endure offshore conditions.
The seventeen-degree deadrise and 25.5-inch draft will allow this boat to get almost anywhere, and her 8-foot 5-inch beam will provide a solid ride when conditions get tough. The 24XO will come standard with a single Yamaha 250hp outboard, but if power is a concern, she can be outfitted with a 300hp engine instead. While either option is sure to provide the performance that Regulator is known for, the 300hp package will get you going in a hurry. The initial performance reports show the boat’s top speed at a quick 50 mph, with a cruise around 26 mph at 3,500 rpms. Both engine options can be equipped with an adjustable jackplate, and the 300hp model will include SeaStar Optimus Electronic Power Steering.
This boat will come with plenty of features, including Regulator’s newly designed T-Top with a wraparound windshield, a factory-installed Garmin 1242 series electronics package, integrated swim platform and a stand-up console compartment. For those looking to entertain, the 24XO will offer plenty of seating with a flush folding rear cockpit bench, a console cooler seat, and an expansive forward-facing lounge with adjustable backrests. The console will also include a leaning post and plenty of space below for a mounted cooler. She will have plenty of storage thanks to the generous 189 qt. macerated in-deck fishbox, twin 190 qt. storage compartments under the forward seats, and rod storage under the port and starboard gunnels. The 24XO will come standard with a starboard side livewell, additional storage to port, and an aft bench that can be lifted to gain access to a clean and open bilge.
