I am writing to comment on my experience in buying a boat through Bluewater Yacht Sales.
My broker was Scott MacDonald and he was terrific in negotiations and in identifying pricing and vendors for things that needed correcting prior to purchase or to be factored into the offer. He also had ready access to names of marine surveyors, insurers and lending agents based on his many years of experience, which was very helpful. However, just as important to me was his willingness to assist in moving the boat and helping with close-quarter/low-speed maneuvering. (This is a 40’ twin jet-drive boat, which has significantly different handling qualities from a prop-driven boat.) Lastly, out of this boat buying experience, Scott and I have become good friends – a friendship that I believe will last long after the last boat has been bought and sold. Scott MacDonald is an asset to Bluewater Yacht Sales.One other thing: his colleague, Sheryl Jaros, was and has been supportive throughout the process as well.
