The interior features a spacious two-stateroom, two-head layout designed for comfort during longer stays aboard. The large salon is bright and open, with updated appointments and plenty of natural light—creating a welcoming space to relax or entertain. The galley is functional and well-equipped, with ample storage and counter space. On deck, the cockpit is generously sized and purpose-built for anglers, with plenty of room to move and fish. The flybridge offers excellent visibility, full controls, and comfortable seating for guests. With her wide beam and deep-V hull, this Viking delivers a smooth, stable ride in various conditions and continues to be a favorite among Great Lakes fishermen. This vessel represents a rare opportunity to own a classic Viking 46 Convertible that’s ready to fish, cruise, and enjoy immediately. Located in Ludington, Michigan, and offered by Dunigan Marine, she’s available for private showings by appointment.

POWERBOAT GUIDE DESCRIPTION: Viking’s largest yacht when she was introduced in 1981, the 46 Convertible was a good-selling boat for Viking thanks to her luxurious accommodations and enviable open-water performance. Built on a modified-V hull with cored hull sides and a shallow keel, the Viking 46 has a reputation for being an agile sea boat although the ride can be harsh when the seas pick up. The posh interior of the 46, with its teak joinery, standard washer/dryer and built-in entertainment center, was considered very sophisticated in her day. A two-stateroom layout with a huge amidships master stateroom was standard and a triple-stateroom layout (unusual in an under-50-foot convertible) became available in 1982. Like all Viking fishing boats, the cockpit is set up for serious anglers with an array of top-quality fishing features. Topside, the flybridge is big for a 46-footer with a well-arranged helm console and seating for six. On the downside, the engine room is a tight fit (note that the air intakes are located under the gunnels). Originally offered with 500hp 6V92s (24 knots cruise/28 top), 675hp 8V92s became available in 1983 raising the cruising speed to a fast 27–28 knots and the top speed to 31 knots.
