General Description

Santa Cruz Yachts are most well known for producing high-performance, lightweight and well proven sailing yachts. In the 2000’s Santa Cruz produced four of these 41’ Coastal Cruisers with the same light weight hull construction and durability of their sailing yachts to appeal to picnic boat yachting enthusiasts. “SARAH” features several updates over the years to keep her looking in top condition and ready to hit the waters. With classic lines and great layout, she is a boater’s dream. Powered with jet drive propulsion, this boat is able to take on the shallower waters that similar sized boats would not be able to cruise. With heads turning wherever she goes, this is one you don’t want to miss out on. The interior is great for weekends away or the easy Bahamas run from the east coast of Florida in comfort and style. Ready to be seen and available.

Gerr-Vee Hull

The Coastal Flyer is built on the proprietary Gerr-Vee hull form, modified for the use with jet-drive propulsion. This is a true vee bottom with a planning hull shape, but it is neither a deep-vee nor a modified-deep-vee. The hull has been under development by Dave Gerr or Gerr Marine since 1989. It was engineered to improve the comfort and sea-keeping abilities of vee-bottom planning hulls. Gerr-vees are no faster for a given horsepower than conventional hulls, but Gerr-vees are very soft riding and have excellent directional stability in a following sea. In addition, the hull is very stable offshore at low speed or at rest, due to its unique tunnel chines.

Hull Construction
  • White, Cook Amorflex Neopentyl Glycol (NPG) Anti-blistering gelcoat
  • Vinylester resin (Hydrex 100 33350) outer skin resin for superior anti-blistering qualities, core adhesion and inner skin resin
  • Uni-directional and bi-directional E-glass knitted fabrics, engineered for appropriate load paths
  • Dupont Kevlar laminated into inner skin
  • Prisma Beam longitudinal frames with significant bonded extras in high stress areas
  • Vacuum bagged aircraft-grade end grain balsa core (Baltec SB-50 used above waterline and Baltec Contourkore used below waterline)
  • Hand laminated to prevent voids, control resin content and maximize strength-to-weight ratio
  • Watertight collision bulkhead forward
  • Flush fitting Flowtech Marlon seacocks for low hydrodynamic drag
  • Hull is painted metallic Mid-Atlantic Blue with a double white boot and accent stripe
  • Black bottom paint (2023)
  • (2) Aluminum 125-gallon fuel tanks for total of 250 gallons with fuel manifold

Deck Construction
