General Description

The 45 Cabo is one of the most iconic and finest fishing platforms ever conceived. Constructed on a beamy modified V-Hull with cored hull sides, a deep forefoot and well flared bow. She features beautiful lines and a very spacious air conditioned centerline helm deck with ample L-Shaped seating to port/aft. The fully equipped cockpit has a transom livewell, excellent tackle storage, and two expansive in-deck fish boxes. The engine room is located beneath the helm deck with access through the cockpit. This 45 Cabo has the optional two stateroom layout that first came available with this year model with the master forward and a double bunk guest room to port. The head and shower are across from the guest stateroom and to starboard.

In 2016 the vessel was painted, MAN 900hp engines were installed new as well as an updated Garmin electronics package. In 2024 new cushions and bridge enclosure were installed and all electrical systems, air conditioners, refrigeration and lights were gone through to make her ready to cruise and fish while the seller’s MAN mechanic worked to get the engines running properly. Seller’s health has declined in the middle of this process and is looking for offers on the boat with engines currently not running. Seller has someone who can tow the boat to a nearby boat yard for any buyer wanting to survey the hull for insurance purposes and an out of water, pre-purchase inspection. A diver keeps the bottom clean on a scheduled basis.

Material Damage Disclosure: Vessel took on water during a storm in 2023. Water level was below cockpit floor and above salon floor but no higher than the stereo in salon. The boat was listing at an angle with the port side higher than starboard. The generator also got wet and was removed. A technician who specializes in pickling engines and restoring vessels in situations like this was hired by the insurance company and later by the current owner. He cut back any wiring that got wet and spliced in new sections as well as changed engine fluids multiple times. Seller has been advised to repower if he was to keep the boat in lieu of putting all new sensors and wiring harnesses and attempting to continue with the current engines.
